Hold the Pose – Flatten the Belly!

Losing weight and having a flat belly are two different things! You may lose weight with diet or intense cardio workout, yet the belly bulges may seem too stubborn to go out. It’s time to try these Yoga postures and get an enviable waist –

What you call a Plank Pose is actually Kumbhakasana. This may appear simple but it is one of the toughest Yoga postures. It is very effective in strengthening and toning your arms, shoulders, buttocks and thighs along with flattening your belly. With all the focus on your core, this asana is sure shot way to get flat-board abs. While doing this, it is very important to raise your buttock into the air and hold it tightly enough so that the core muscles feel the pull.

The Boat Pose is indeed a wonderful way to tone up your abs. it also helps to strengthen the back, legs and arms muscles. While doing this, you are supposed to raise your legs and arms 20-30 degree up. The key to great abs lies in holding this pose, keeping your arms and legs straight while your fingers are outstretched towards your toes. Do it once and you will feel an effective strain in your core muscles.

The wheel pose involves lying down on a mat on your back. Keeping your hands and feet well placed on the mat, lift the entire body high. Regular practice of this posture would make your spine flexible and strengthen your abs. Start holding this pose for a little longer than a count of twenty and you can surely have an enviable waist within a month!

Padahastasana

The very name means standing forward bend and is a wonderful asana that compresses the abdomen completely as it involves bending forward keeping your legs straight. The compression helps in toning down the tummy as regular practice would allow you to bend so gracefully that you can touch the floor with your flat palms. Initially, you can touch down till your toes and work your way to the floor slowly. The main point is this asana is to hold your breath and tuck your tummy in for at least a minute.

There are many other wonderful Yoga poses that can flatten your tummy and melt away the fat from waist. Veerbhadrasana, Shalabhasana, Bhujangasanaand Surya Namaskar – to name a few. The best thing is that one pose brings a lot many benefits. So get ready to get rid of tummy fat with Yoga training.
